Delhi government suspends three transport department officials
Delhi: On Saturday, three transport department officials were suspended over the charges of corruption. The officials alledgely issued fresh Letter of Interest(LOI) for three-wheelers.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia who spoke to the media said that the LOIs were issued at random, despite orders to issue them in a chronological order of applications. “It was found that in many cases the LOIs were being given to dealers instead of applicants,” Manish Sisodia tweeted.
The Delhi government has handed over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Speaking to the media the Deputy CM said that the government would take stringent actions against the officials and that the government would not tolerate corruption at any level.
