Lokmanya Tilak Express collides with an EMU train in Haryana, driver dead two others injured
In an unlucky incident on Tuesday morning, two trains crashed into each other near Haryana’s Palwal railway station. Under the adverse weather condition, Lokmanya Tilak express collided with an EMU train at the outset of Palwal station.
The tragic incident results in the death of the local train’s driver. Railway officials blamed dense winter morning fog and human error for the accident. “The accident occurred due to fog and negligence of the driver of the EMU train,”said Northern Railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma.
The assistant driver of the local train and a guard of the express train are also injured. The passengers in both train are safe.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar spoke to the Palwal Deputy Commisioner and asked him to setup the rescue and relief work.
According to the reports, train service on the Palwal route have been disrupted due to the accident.
