Trump’s stand on banning Muslims remains unchanged
Washington: Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump asserted that he prefers to stick to his guns over the row of controversies that includes temporarily banning Muslims from entering the US. He made the comment two weeks before the seven top candidates sparred before their first nominating contests in Iowa.
Trump was asked in the sixth Republican presidential debate in Charleston, South Carolina, whether he wanted to reconsider his position, to which he blatantly said ‘no’.
“The guns don’t pull the trigger. It’s the people that pull the trigger,” said Trump.
The candidates also took plenty of shots at Obama. Cruz criticized Obama for not mentioning in his speech the 10 US sailors who were captured by Iran earlier this week.
