China censors content
China: China today banned 6oo websites and 2000 accounts which included illegal content pertaining to gambling, terrorism and pornography. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) commonly called the internet watch dog of China banned the accounts on various social media websites.
The banned websites actually worked on illegal trading of weapons and illegally recruited students who studied abroad and teachers with a fake college certificate.
The administration banned accounts having anything to do with pornography, Nazi ideology or discussions related to the stock market and national trade.
The CAC asked the public citizens to inform them about any illegal content they came across on the internet and the providers would be awarded rewards if the content proved to be useful in tackling the wrong doers.
The pinned down accounts mainly came from Wechat, Sina Weibo, Baidu Teibu and Tencent QQ.
