New Delhi: The Patiala House Court in New Delhi witnessed unruly scenes today after a group of 40 lawyers demanded the JNU University faculty present inside the court to vacate and started shouting anti-JNU slogans as well.

The faculty stood their ground and refused to heed to their demand. The scuffle at the court required the presence of Women police constables at the scene.

The Students Union President of JNU, Kanhaiya Kumar is due to be presented at the court today. He was arrested on sedition charges by the Delhi Police last Friday. He was then remanded to three-day police custody.
