Abducted girl from Ghaziabad found safe in Panipat

Ghaziabad: Dipti Sarna, an E-commerce firm Snapdeal employee, who was missing since Wednesday night from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has made contact with her parents. She made the call from Panipat and had informed her parents that she is safe and will return home soon.

“Ms Dipti spoke to her parents; soon to join them; we are eagerly awaiting her return,” said Dharmendra, Senior Superintendent of Police

The 24-year old woman works as a company secretary for the e-commerce giant, Snapdeal. On Wednesday evening, Ms Dipti boarded a shared auto from Vaishali Metro station to the Ghaziabad bus stand and was abducted while commuting.

The episode received attention from the Chief Minister of UP, who stated that the case would be a top priority for the police.

Snapdeal founder, Kunal Bahl had also tweeted in support of Dipti and praying for her safe return.
