Factory explosion in Telengana claims six lives

Hyderabad: An explosion in a factory in Telangana has claimed the lives of six workers. Hasitha Pharmaceutical factory on the outskirts of Hyderabad had witnessed an explosion that killed and injured many on Monday morning. All the injured have been shifted to a private hospital.

The bodies of the workers have charred and mutilated beyond recognition.

According to Ibrahimpatnam ACP Narayana, the accident occurred at around 6:15 am in the morning. The six workers near the factory died on the spot.

When the blast occurred around 11 workers were inside the factory. Eight of the workers had arrived to work the night before and the remaining had reported to work in the morning. Two of the victims were from Andhra Pradesh and four were from Chhattisgarh.

As soon as the blast occurred, the families of the workers and residents from surrounding localities had gathered around the blast. The family members had started protesting against the factory management and the government. The protests were related to compensation for the next of kith and kin of the workers.
