Toronto: In a first, Justin Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister is all set to participate in an LGBT pride March making him the first ever dignitary to do so in an event of its kind. Pride Toronto said in a statement on Monday that the Prime Minister along with a few members of his cabinet will be expected to march in the parade on July 3rd, 2016. The Canadian leader took to twitter to announce his participation.

The first ever Pride Month to be held in Toronto will commence on June 1st. The theme will be of belonging and inclusion. Organizers have stated that gay members from different countries will also be welcomed at the Pride events, as well. Along with Trudeau, Finance Minister Bill Morneau, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Mayor of Toronto John Tory are also expected to take part in the march.
