The Indian Archers established their dominance in the 12th South Asian Games today. The team finished the event with a total of 10 Gold and 4 Silvers. After a profound victory yesterday, they bagged another 5 Gold and 2 Silvers to take the tally up to 10 Gold and 4 Silver. Gold medals were won by both the men’s and women’s team as well as in mixed format.
Bombayala Davi, Gurucharan Besra, Deepika Kumari and Tarundeep Rai who were part of the singles, doubles and mixed team claimed three pieces of gold individually. India also won a gold in swimming. Saurabh Sangvekar won the gold in the Men’s 400 metre freestyle, creating a new record.
In the cycling event, India won gold, silver and bronze today.
