JNU professor attacked in Gwalior


As per sources, the professor was fired after he had reached for the programme. He, however, escaped the bullet and is said to be safe.

Later, the situation turned violent at Bal Bhavan, where the events turned violent and scuffle broke out between the members of Ambedkar forum and Bhajyumo.

The events miscreants have gone to an extent of damaging properties and interrupting the traffic. However, sources have informed that the police reached the spot in time and tried to disrupt the crowd by lathi charge. But the forces could not control the mob and the situation is said to be still not under control. The mob has torched few vehicles.

According to police sources, the officials are reviewing the situation and are taking all possible measures to bring the situation to normalcy. Keeping in view of recent attacks on media persons and lawyers at Patiala Court Complex in Delhi and JNU row, security forces in large numbers have been deployed in the area.
