Lance Naik Hanamanthappa’s family in Delhi

New Delhi: The lone survivor, Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad, battling for his life, is the cynosure of all eyes. The nation prays for his survival. The army officer was found after six days buried under 25 feet of snow in Siachen. The brave heart’s family will be meeting him today at the Army hospital.

The family of Koppad is arrived in the national capital last night and currently staying at the Army hospital.

“We can’t even describe how happy we are. It is a miracle,” said Koppad’s brother-in-law Subhash after landing in New Delhi

An Air force plane flew the officer down to Delhi from Thoise yesterday. He was admitted to the Research and Referral unit of the Army hospital.

The army officer is in a state of comatose and is currently on the ventilator to protect his airways and lungs from collapsing.

The Army Chief General Dalbir Singh is in the hospital to visit the officer and his family.
