Tanzanian Girl Stripped In Public by Bengaluru mob

124885962-mob_621 year old Tanzanian girl , pursuing  MBA from the Acharya College in Bengaluru, was repeatedly beaten, forcefully stripped and made to parade around naked by the local mob in Bengaluru’s Hesaraghatta road.

According to some sources, a car ran over a 35 year old woman in Hesaraghatta resulted in spot death of the woman. 30 minutes after the incident, the girl along with four of her friends arrived on the scene. The car was sorrounded and stopped by a group of atleast 200 people. The angry mob dragged out the girl and repeatedly beat her and allegedely paraded naked. While the local Police stood by and watched, the girl and her friends were assaulted by the mob after the assumed she was part of the incident which was done by a Sudanese citizen.

The Police complaint filed by the victim says that when she tried to board a bus to escape from the assault, the passengers pushed her back to the raging mob. When a concerned bystander tried to cover her with a T-shirt, he too was beaten.

The Tanzanian Embassy requested the Indian government to take necessary action against those involved in the attack and to ensure security and safety to all African students in India.

Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj described the act as shameful and said that four accused have been arrested.

The angry mob set the Wagon-R car on fire with all the students losing their valuable documents.
