‘The Revenant’ hits screens in India without any cuts

With the Oscar races firm ahead, the last few days have witnessed a deep dive into the four major acting categories. Finally, it has zeroed down to two awards – Best Director and Best Picture. And this year might witness The Revenant bagging them all.

Leonardo DiCaprio-stars in The Revenant, and has been released in India yesterday and surprisingly has survived the wrath of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Yes, the movie been passed with an ‘A’ certificate and without any cuts by the CBFC.

The film is about one man’s epic adventure of survival and revenge and is inspired by true events. Directed by Alejandro Inarritu, the movie also stars Tom Brady, Domhnoll Gleeson and Paul Anderson.
