The Indian student attacked in Russia dies

An Indian medical student who was beaten up by a gang of goon leaving him to state of coma with no senses passes away,External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj confirmed on Wednesday.

“I am pained to inform that Yasir, an Indian medical student from Srinagar, has succumbed to his injuries in Russia,” Sushma Swaraj tweeted.

Her latest tweets said that Yasir was taken care of by an Indian doctor at the trauma centre.

She said this after an SOS was tweeted that Yasir, a medical student in Kazan, capital of Tatarstan, was attacked by “local goons”.

According to the tweet, Yasir, losing his money and documents went into a state of coma due to the intense hit.

Sushma Swaraj said that she had spoken about the issue to Pankaj Saran, Indian Ambassador to Russia.
