Kerala Police assaults Protest march in support of HCU students

kerala policeKerala Police brutally assaulted on a peaceful protest march on the HCU issue organized by Students Islamic Organization (SIO) .The Calicut town Police lathicharged  the march near the Calicut Head post office and arrested the protestors, including the girls.

Around 40 persons,who are severely injured, have been  admitted to the Calicut beach hospital. Sources said that 15 protesters ,including girls, were arrested by the Police.

SIO Kerala State President Nahas Mala says “.The Kerala Police unleashed its violent suppression over SIO students activists, who marched to the Head Post Office on demanding immediate release of all arrested activists at University of Hyderabad.Almost 40 people physically injured and admitted at Beach Government Hospital.Police arrested 15 activists including girls.”

Parents of  Ramees EK and Munsif, HCU students who were arrested in Hyderabad, also took part in the march.Later the leaders of the SIO who went to the Police station was also arrested. They have not been released yet.

Sources said that the Police charged sections 143, 144,145,147,148,153,283,354,332,353,149 of the IPC against the arrested students.
