A student leader of a college in Meerut has announced a cash reward of Rs.21,000 to anyone who cuts the tongue of Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM leader.
Dushyant Tomar, a former president of the students union at a college, burnt a dummy of Owaisi in the city premises later offering the reward.
Tomar said he was angered by All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader's statement in a Maharashtra rally that he will not say 'Bharat mata ki jai'.
"The statement of Owaisi is not only anti-India but shows that he is not at all a patriot," said he.
Tomar was president of the student union for 2014-15 academic year and was made a member of the state executive of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a Bharatiya Janata Party-affiliated student body.
He also demanded that Owaisi should be stripped of his Lok Sabha membership.
A public interest litigation has been filed in Lucknow over Owaisi's statement.
