‘Theri’ will be screened in US theatres; rights bagged for 3 crore INR
The theatrical rights of the Vijay-starrer Tamil movie “Theri” in US has been bagged for a giant total of 3 crore by CineGalaxy Inc. It is a Texas-based distribution company.
“The rights were procured for Rs.3 crore. We’d like to thank producer Thanu for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to release the film. It will be a grand release on April 14,” Sanjay of CineGalaxy Inc said.
The movie is directed by Atlee. The film features Vijay in the role of a police officer, donning three different avatars.
Although an action film at heart, “Theri” will also focus on the strong relation between a father and his daughter.
The core actors in the movie are Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Amy Jackson, the film introduces veteran filmmaker Mahendran as the villain.
