At an interview with the New York Magazine hollywood actor James Franco, clarifies that he is a “little gay” but also questioned the literal societal meaning of being gay or straight in terms of the partner being involved, Franco clearly stated that he would like to call himself a “tease”.
The 38 year old star has taken up gay roles in various movies like Howl, Milk and I Am Michael, says that the media over focuses when the topic is his sexuality.
“There is a bit of overfocussing on my sexuality, both by the straight press and the gay press, and so the first question is why do they care?” Franco retorted. He also added,”Well, because I’m a celebrity, so I guess they care who I’m having sex with.”
Further he said, “It’s where my allegiance lies, where my sensibilities lie, how I define myself. Yeah, I’m a little gay, and there’s a gay James.”
Franco’s latest movie King Cobra directed by Justin Kelly, depicts him as a gay man and drills into the circumstances of the 2007 murder of gay adult film impresario Bryan Kocis.
The movie also has James involving explicitly with his co star Keegan Allen.
