Bollywood actress  and superstar Priyanka Chopra recieved the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour from President Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering function at Rashtrapati Bhavan .

Priyanka looked no less than a “Desi” girl, dressed in a lime green sari while receiving the honour.

The former Miss world has been a part of Hindi cinema for almost a decade and has made India proud globally with her stint in the American TV series “Quantico”.

The actress, who is currently riding high on the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus “Bajirao Mastani”, has even bagged a Hollwood film, “Baywatch”, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.

Bollywood singer Udit Narayan was  awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian honour, by President Pranab Mukherjee for his contribution to the world of music.

Narayan, who has been a part of the music industry for over three decades, sported a black suit on the ocassion.  On receiving the award, the singer, who has crooned hits like “Pardesi pardesi”, “Taal se taal mila” and “Pehla Nasha” touched the president’s feet.
