VVIP chopper scam: Kejriwal dares Modi to take action against Sonia
New Delhi: In a series of tweets, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanded arrest of congressmen involved in the AgustaWestland row. Terming the Italian Court judgment which cited handwritten references to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Former air chief S P Tyagi, and Sonia’s Political Secretary Ahmed Patel as ‘damning’, he dared central government to act on the issue and take up legal actions against all accused person.
“BJP will never do it. BJP will just do sloganeering for five years,” he tweeted on Thursday.
Taking a dig at the raids conducted in his office few months back, Kejriwal slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not conducting CBI raids in her office. “Shudn’t those named in Italy court order be immediately arrested n interrogated? CBI raid had been conducted at me, but why there is no raid at Congress persons (sic),” he asked.
He also questioned Modi’s silence over the issue.
“Why is the PM silent on Agusta? First BJP spared Vadra, now protecting entire Congress top brass in Augusta,” Delhi Chief Minister said referring to Robort Vadra cases.
The highly controversial AgustaWestland chopper deal case has sparked fireworks in Rajya Sabha yesterday as BJP leaders dragged Sonia’s name into the case.
