I Am Not Your PM But Prime Servant: Narendra Modi at Saharanpur

Addressing a rally in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh today to mark the second anniversary of BJP government,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he is not Prime Minister but Prime Servant of 125 crore people. He conveyed the government’s achievement of the two years to the people. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh accompanied PM Modi in the rally.

Addressing the rally, PM Modi said, “ The government’s core focus is to fight against property. I want to change the life of rural areas.” The government is aware of the problems faced by the state government and the center’s  endeavor is to empower the state government, Modi added.

He also reiterated that he will work on doubling farmers income by 2020, adding that, more central funds have been released for rural areas.“I have warn sugarcane mills not to hold back dues,“ he said. The retirement of doctors has been increased to 65 years from 60, he announced.

PM Modi also slammed the Congress, saying that ,“ The previous government have looted the nation.” Modi also told the rally not to believe in vote bank politics.

Earlier, before PM Modi’s speech, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the UP government has failed to provide any help to the farmer. ” The government has been providing neem coated urea to the farmers,” he said.

Following the Saharanpur rally, the Prime Minister will also address four more rallies in Balasore, and one each in Rajasthan, Karnataka and Meghalaya later on. Senior leaders of the government including Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Suresh Prabhu, Najma Heptulla and J.P. Nadda, along with party functionaries will visit different district in Uttar Pradesh to ensure reach of the government’s programmes at ground level.

Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani will visit Amethi and inagurate a health fair and distribute aid to the physically challenged. The minister will also address particpants at function organised in the IIIT complex In Tikermafi. She will meet families of former minister Ram Lakhan Passi to offer her condolences in Jagdeeshpur.
