Lenovo launches its first Cyanogen Phone -Zuk Z1 for Rs. 13,499
Lenovo launches their first smartphone- Zuk Z1- under its online-only sub-brand- the Zuk in India, which will be running the Cyanogen operating system, with an amazing price tag of Rs. 13,499 . They had launched the same model in China for for about Rs. 18,000.
Cyanogen is a popular customized version of Android operating system.Cyanogen had been an exclusive extravaganza of Micromax’s YU. But the deal with YU exists no more as Lenovo launches their so-called ‘crowd sourced’ smart phone-Zuk Z1, based on Cyanogen. Lenovo has the themes and user interface designed with the inputs from the people in social media. Zuk Z1 contains Cyanogen 12.1 based on Android lollipop 5.1.
The ZUK Z1, launched last year in China, is the first smartphone under the ZUK brand, backed by Lenovo. Zuk series will be launched in India as- ‘ZUK by Lenovo’. ZUK has recently launched its latest flagship smartphone, the ZUK Z2 Pro, featuring 6GB of RAM, in China.
Zuk Z1 features 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz along with Adreno 330 graphics. Its rear camera has a resolution of 13 Megapixels while te front camera is of 5 MP. Another notable feature of the Lenovo Z1 smartphone is that it packs a large 4100mAh battery. Display of the phone features 1080 pixel quality and 5.5 inch size, which offers a 100 per cent NTSC color gamut screen with a 1500:1 contrast ratio.
Zuk Z1 supports has a USB-c port which supports USB 3.0 to offer a good speed for data transfer. The dual-SIM phone supports two Nano-SIM cards, both of which support 4G LTE connectivity and Indian LTE bands – FDD Band 3 (1800MHz) and TDD Band 40 (2300MHz).
