His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the lavish open terrace in the Burj Al Arab today, in the presence of Deputy Ruler of Dubai HH Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
A world-first in marine and off-site construction, the Burj Al Arab Terrace is an outdoor luxury leisure facility that offers a regal hospitality experience which is one of a kind, as reported by the local news agency WAM.
Jumeirah Group which is the global luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, manages the maintenance and upgrades of the Burj Al Arab which is one of the world’s most sumptuous hotels and a prominent landmark of Dubai.
His Highness further said: “A few days ago, we inaugurated the world’s first 3D printed office, and today we are opening Burj Al Arab Terrace, the first manmade luxury beach facility of its kind. Both projects reflect Dubai’s vision to achieve global leadership in innovation and excellence.”
Some breathtaking visuals of the terrace and of the one of iconic Burj Al Arab are something of a beauty to be seen.
The architectural form of the terrace has been designed to reflect the shape of Burj Al Arab, creating a fusion of sophisticated, contemporary structures and tranquil stretches of water. Linked by a central walkway, flanked on either side by crystalline beaches and private cabanas, it gives an effect of a stylised tropical forest canopy, with contrasting areas of dappled light and shade.
The design also incorporates a 612m2 freshwater pool and an 828m2 saltwater infinity pool, while 1,000 tonnes of white sand creates the dazzling beach. Set within the pools are four Jacuzzis and a swim-up bar.
The Scape Restaurant & Bar offers unparalleled views of the Arabian Gulf. It serves up a delicious menu of Californian fusion style dishes, while the outdoor bar provides guests with the perfect alfresco venue.
It also features 32 fully air-conditioned cabanas overlook Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab Terrace and the Dubai skyline.
