Radhika Vemula, mother of Dalit Research Scholar Rohit Vemula who hanged himself in Hyderabad Central University, visited Jisha's mother Rajeshwari who was brutally murdered in Permumbavoor, Kerala. Radhika Vemula along with her son Raja Vemula visited Jisha’s mother in the hospital where she was  admitted after the shocking incident.

Raja Vemula told to Narada news that they met Rajeshwari and expressed their solidarity in her fight for the justice of her daughter who was allegedly raped and murdered. “Since she is in rest, we talked to her only for some time. She told us that  she will fight for the justice for her daughter and we ascertained  her that we will join in her fight until justice is done to the soul of Jisha,”  said Raja.

Meantime, According to the police sources, the investigation team is still in search for the culprit and the monitoring upon the labourers from the other states has been tightened. The police have also taken Jisha’s sister Deepa in for questioning.

In the past two days, the police probe team had called Deepa's uncle, with whom she was staying, for quizzing.

Police have also been checking Deepa's call list after her uncle said she was spending a lot of time talking on the phone.

Deepa on Sunday said she was being hounded for no reason.

Police, meanwhile, are on the lookout for a migrant labourer known as 'Bhaya'.

The probe team has ascertained that the murder took place around 5.45 p.m. on April 28, after which Jisha's mutilated body was found by her mother Rajeshwari.

Police believe that the 27-year-old woman was sexually assaulted before being killed.

Earlier, a 10-squad team of police had started looking for a friend  of Deepa, who used to visit their house. According the police, the accused who is a retail  hashish seller is in missing after the death of  Jisha.
