Sharjah Police allows high school students for car driving license

Apparently, the Sharjah Police has lowered the age to apply for a car driving license to 17 and a half years and senior school students can apply for the license.

Sharjah Police have allowed senior school students who have completed seventeen-and-a-half years to open their files to apply for a driving licence.

Students and youth can also begin to learn to drive at this age now.

This new service comes out of the keenness of Sharjah Police to improve services provided to the public.

Parental consent will be needed to open a file.

The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department of Sharjah Police said that the aim of the initiative is to reduce long queues for licences during the summer, as well as to ease pressure on government departments.
