SRH snatches victory, will face GL in the 3rd semi final of IPL 2016
The second semi final was witnessed today which was played between the SRH and the KKR which gradually developed the fight which one cannot afford to miss. The graphs kept fluctuating throughout the match till the 2nd last over of the match when the match was almost owned by the SRH. SRH won by 22 runs confirming their match against Gujarat Lions in the 3rd semi final.
The second semi final of the Vivo IPL was marked by today's match which was played between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Kolkata Knight Riders at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi. It was a critical match as the victor of this match would proceed to lock horns with the Gujarat Lions which lost to the RCB yesterday, in another qualifier match deciding who will proceed to the finale of the Vivo IPL Season 6 to contest against the the first final qualifier, Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to put up a fight worthy score of 162-8. Yuvraj Singh being the leading run scorer from the Hyderabadi side scoring 44 off 30 balls. Yuvraj was seen getting this near to his half century after a while but unfortunate for his fans, he got bowled by Holder before he could register his half century.
The Kolkota Knight Riders took off with a great start chasing the score mark given by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
It was not soon when the wickets started returning back to the pavilion and this match being the biggest match for both the teams started turning tables.
Gautam Gambhir (28 off 28 balls), Suryakumar Yadav (23 off 15 balls), Manish Pandey (36 off 28 balls) are what the batting scores looked like for the KKR. The Pathan Power who was on fire lately, couldn't pull this match and went on an early score of 2 runs off 6 balls.
Gautam went ahead saying,"The fans have been the most loyal to us and have stood by us all the time."
Finally, KKR bids goodbye to this tournament.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad surely showed a great team effort and the bowlers did a fabulous job by contributing great spells including names of B Kumar, Mustafizur Rehman and Moises Henrique who left no stone unturned to pull the KKR to the benchmark of defeat.
The Man of the Match was awarded to Moises Henriques for an all round contribution in today's match and helping the SRH to put up a score of 165-8 (20 overs) and then defending it with all the might.
It is yet to be seen who will fight against the RCB in the last and grandest match of the Vivo IPL which will be decided as of who emerges the victor between the GL and the SRH in their next match.
