Youth Booked under IPC 506 because of a Facebook post about Modi
Section 506 in The Indian Penal Code 506. Punishment for criminal intimidation.�Whoever commits, the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprison�ment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both; If threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, etc.�And if the threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, or to cause the destruction of any property by fire, or to cause an offence punishable with death or 1[imprisonment for life], or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, or to impute, unchastity to a woman, shall be punished with imprison�ment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.
According to reports, Ravi Prakash Chaurasia a resident from Bhaghana of Madyapradesh arrested by police regarding a facebook post about Narendra Modi.
A Facebook group NaMo complained against Chaurasia , and later police booked him under IPC's Section 506, 507 and IT Act.
Roshan Verma , admin of the NaMo group sent the screenshots of 'Objectionable comments' by Chaurasia to the police.
