Amid the controversies surrounding 12th toppers in Bihar, a class 12 student in Ahmedabad wrote his Geography and Economics papers and gave himself 100 out of 100 in one of the subjects, a report in The Times of India said.
According to the report, the state board has filed a complaint against the student, who they identified as Class 12 student, Harshad Sarvaiya. He face charges of copying.
The student first wrote his economics paper and then allegedly marked himself 100 out of 100 marks with red ink before being submitted to the supervisor of the examination.
GSHSEB secretary (examination) GD Patel said the student examined his own answer-sheets of Geography and Economics.
“ While the teachers caught the irregularity in Geography in which he scored 34 marks, Sarvaiya’s ‘masterclass’ act went unnoticed in Economics paper. He gave himself 100/100 in the subject,” Patel said.
Sarvaiya scored 13 in Gujarati, 12 in English, 4 in Sanskrit , 20 in Sociology and 5 in Psychology. Sarvaiya didn’t mention marks on top front page of answer-sheet to avoid being caught by examiners.
