Children's house head arrested for child molestation
Earlier, the girls have allegedly accused him of sexually assaulting and taking selfies with them without permission
The Delhi police on Thursday arrested a head of a children’s home who has allegedly assaulted 6 girls under 10. According to the Delhi police sources, he has allegedly molested girls in a government-run home where girls rescued from sex racket and begging and labour gang were rehabilitated.
Earlier, the girls have allegedly accused him of sexually assaulting and taking selfies with them without permission. Senior police officer Satish Kain said that the police arrested him after recording statements of the victims and officials.
The police also stated that they are probing the case based upon the statements of the victims that they were called to a room on the pretext of a checkup and were molested. The girls have also told the police that they have complained to the caretaker about the molestation and no actions were taken.
There are around 50 children staying in the government-run houses, in the national capital. All of them are aged between six to 10.
Sandeep Kumar, Delhi Women and Child Welfare minister has met with the victims and assured them all helps from the government.
