Datsun redi-Go changing the entry level segment of car game

Datsun is surely claiming its share of the Indian car market with its car products and is emerging to be a success among the people who have showed faith in this company. Datsun has just launched redi-GO, which is a hatchback and is creating quite a buzz in the car market of the entry level segments.

With the official unveiling of the car that happened in April, Datsun has launched redi-GO in the Indian market and has so much to offer in the entry level category of cars. The design of the car comes as a hatchback which is in the category of cars like Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Hyundai Eon, Renault Kwid.

The redi-GO launched by Datsun has its counterparts in other companies as well but being built with a price and offering flexibility to the pocket is surely going to make it stand apart.

The hatchback, redi-GO has been launched with a starting price of Rs. 2.39 lakhs (ex showroom price Delhi).

Talking on parallel grounds with the Kwid, it will be offering relaxations starting from Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 38,000.

People who are planning to shift on to 4 wheelers from 2 wheelers surely can find scope in this deal of a buy.

Features of the Datsun redi-GO are pretty much what the other cars of the same genre are offering but again the monetary relaxation is surely to be noted while discussing about the Datsun redi-GO.


The external appearance of the car has been styled into a sporty structure. The car being a hatchback has been given a stylish and compact look. The company has targeted trendy colors like Lime, Silver, Grey, white and Ruby .

Silver color was a dominating color for a long time which defined the face of Datsun Cars.

Datsun has made sure to give that identically colored bumper to the redi-GO which makes the car look stylish unlike the different colored bumpers which give off an incomplete vibe.


The car offers an AC vent on the left side which cannot be closed. It’s kind of different than other cars but we really don’t think it will create much difference.

The front windows will be power windows and the window buttons can be seen adjusted along with the frame of the cup holder in the car.

Airbag is on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Redi-GO has a sporty integrated music system which offers Aux input, radio, cd/mp3 and usb mode features. The music system is not bluetooth powered.

The Datsun redi-GO surely looks like it will be very visible on the roads because of the price it is offering and companies in competition have seemed to take redi-Go’s pricing very seriously.

It looks like the competition in the entry-level hatchback segment is gaining momentum with the unveiling and launching of redi-GO happening.
