Deleting “best scenes” is heartbreaking: Shoojit Sircar

The “Piku” director took to Twitter to share his views about editing.
He posted: “The other juiciest part of film making is the final editing. Deleting best scenes with heartbreak and joy as well..#pinkpinkthefilm.”

To that, Sircar responded: “No sir…will screen it for you soon.”
The film is directed by National Award-winning Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, who is stepping into Hindi movies with the project.

Vir Das slams political party loyalists
Hitting out at political party loyalists, comedian-actor Vir Das says there is a lack of understanding of the principles of democracy in people who “spew hatred all day” in the name of dedication towards a particular party.
He tweeted: “If your love for any party makes you spew hatred all day…you have no understanding of democracy, and your party deserves better than you.”
Predicting backlash from the political party loyalists, the actor went on to request all such social media users to refrain from commenting.
He shared: “Sincere request. If you’re a political party handle… Stay the hell away from my tweets. I’ve got my own battles, I ain’t fighting yours.”
