Including the replacement of the top keyboard row with a secondary OLED screen, Apple’s MacBook Pros are getting a complete redesign this year, according to reports.

The latest releases of the MacBook Pro laptops is expected to be lighter and thinner than ever. It would resemble the 12-inch Retina MacBook. A critical component called the ‘hinge’ has been already shipped at least one supplier, according to rumours from Asia.
The hinge is a crucial element, the purpose of the element is to connect the display parts to the motherboard of the computer. Its purpose is to hold the screen in place at various angles and balance the whole device.
According to Digitimes, the hinge maker Jarllytec saw revenues surge last month. The maker posted record revenue for the month of May, marking a 107% year-over-year increase.
The company is expected to provide similar hinges for new 15-inch MacBooks in the third quarter of the year as it made metal injection molding (MIM) hinges for 13-inch MacBooks, according Commercial Times of China.
The MIM or Metal injection molding technique is used create “small, intricate metal parts or the kind of parts a redesigned notebook to be slimmer than ever.
