Facebook Inc. CE0 and Co-Founder, Mark Zuckerberg briefly found his Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts hijacked.

Zuckerberg's Facebook account and password were not compromised, the company said in a statement; his account on Facebook-owned Instagram was also unaffected. Facebook said Monday that none of the company's systems or accounts were accessed and that Zuckerberg's affected accounts have been resecured.

A person close to the whole scenario had confirmed that Zuckerberg's LinkedIn and Pinterest accounts also were affected. Officials for those social media networks did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The group responsible for gaining access to his social media accounts, OurMine Team were earlier claiming to have access to Mark Zuckerberg's Instagram account as well.

We really don’t know for sure how OurMine Team managed to pull off the hacks, but the group is claiming it was all due to the LinkedIn password dump from a few weeks ago.

Millions of LinkedIn user account details had leaked online last month. The company responded by invalidating the credentials and contacting affected members to reset their passwords.

As we all know, many people like to reuse the same password on different online services.

This is the best reminder for people that if you have a LinkedIn account, you should go ahead and change your password there, and everywhere else. In fact, people should develop a habit to regularly change their confidential passwords on all srots of social media/other online accounts. And if that is too much of a pain, at the very least, make a habit of using different passwords.
