Pakistani actor Nadeem Jafri escapes shooting during robbery attempt in Karachi

According to reports, Nadeem Jafri and his cousins were outside his Gulshan-e-Iqbal residence in Karachi at around 5:30am when two armed bandits on motorbike intercepted the their vehicle

Pakistani actor and television presenter Nadeem Jafri was mugged outside his house on Thursday. The unknown men also reportedly shot at him multiple times before fleeing away with his cell phone and cash. Jafri, however, escaped unhurt.

According to reports, Nadeem Jafri and his cousins were outside his Gulshan-e-Iqbal residence in  Karachi at around 5:30am when two armed robbers on motorbike intercepted their vehicle.

“There were two gunmen who snatched cash and mobiles from all of us. When they started the bike to flee, my cousin Dr. Raza opened fire on the robbers. In response, they also returned fire and the shootout lasted for about 40 seconds. Thank God! No one was injured,” Nadeem Jafri told Samaa TV.

The attack comes  a week after celebrated Pakistani qawwal Amjad Sabri was shot dead in Karachi.
