Bollywood star Salman Khan has managed to stroke yet another controversy and he is facing the heat from women right activist and Twitterati alike. This time, the Dabangg Khan, not really known for sensitivity when taking to media, compared himself with a “raped woman”.

Khan made the comments while talking to the media at a promotional event for his upcoming sports-drama film Sultan. Describing his grueling schedule while working on the set of sultan, Khan made a very insensitive analogy comparing himself with a raped woman.

He said: “While shooting, during those six hours, there’d be so much of lifting and thrusting on the ground involved. That was tough for me because if I was lifting, I’d have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times form 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn’t stop.”

National Commission for Women (NCW) has also taken suo moto cognizance against the actor. NCW member Ranjana Kumari told reporters that Salman should apologize for making such a statement. NCW Chief Lalitha Kumaramangalam also demanded apology. She said: “Considering the number of female fans he has, he should not have made such a statement. Salman Khan should apologize.”

However, people close to Khan have come-out in his support. Salman’s father Salim Khan said that his statement was not meant to insult women.

Here how people in the Twitter world reacted to Khan’s misplaced analogy that has now gone viral.
