On the occasion of the second anniversary of Telangana’s formation, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao unfurled the second tallest National Flag at Sanjeevaiah Park. Telangana Rashtra Samithi president KCR and Governor ESL Narasimhan will join in the celebrations at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad.
The celebrations were carried out at many places with people from all categories coming together and expressing their happiness and celebrated feelings over the 2nd statehood anniversary of Telangana.
The Indian PM, Narendra Modi tweeted his heartiest congratulations to Telangana and wished fro the prosperity and success of the state in the coming times.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao joined in the celebrations at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad.
Public spaces and government buildings were illuminated in Hyderabad. Tank Bund, banks of Hussain Sagar Lake, Lumbini Park, state secretariat, the international airport at Shamshabad and places of worship were sparkling bright as India’s 29th state celebrated.
A number of cultural programmes have been lined up by different government agencies. The state government announced awards for a number of persons from different fields in recognition of their meritorious service. The state
government has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for each of the 10 districts to hold celebrations between June 2 and June 7.
The chief minister has also directed that family members of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Telangana movement be felicitated in Hyderabad and the districts.
