Terror module busted in Hyderabad
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out raids in different localities of the Hyderabad and detained at least 10 persons. Investigators believe they were trying to plan terror activities in the city PTI reported.
Weapons, explosives and cash were seized during the raids
“Raids are going on at three to four places in the old city are. NIA is doing it. The local police is assisting them. Searches are being conducted over some suspected terror activities that were planned to be carried out in the city,” a senior intelligence officer said.
Around 10 persons have been detained and some explosive material (ammunition) has been recovered, sources in the intelligence department said police sources
“We are not sure who these people (suspects) are and the groups they are affiliated with,” the sources added.
Months ago 14 people suspected to be sympathisers of ISIS were arrested from different parts of the country of which two people were from Hyderabad.
