Two arrested by Dubai Police for possession of heroin
The Dubai Police have caught and seized 4.5kg of heroin with the arrest of two Asians. The suspects were charged with drug possession, promotion and use.
The anti-narcotics department of Dubai Police devised a trap and brought it into effect when they learned that the both of them were looking out for someone who could smuggle heroin into a neighbouring country.
The anti narcotics department of Dubai seemed to tackle this situation with a lot of intelligence by studying this case and coming up with a trap idea which the two Asians fell for.
Colonel Eid bin Hareb, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, said the suspects – truck drivers aged 35 and 26 – met undercover police officials in Al Khor. After arresting them, the police raided their car and recovered a black shirt containing four packets of heroin.
Major-General Khalil Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, praised the officers who carried out the operation. He urged residents to report suspicious activities to the police on toll-free number 800400400 or via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
