PGA starts on Thursday, Tiger Woods to miss.

The 98th PGA tournament will be starting today. In this season this fabulous championship brings together some of the greatest players of the game to Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.

From Jason Day to Dustin Johnson and likes of Jordan Spieth and hot favorite Rory McIlroy the tournament is full of Golf’s best players, and is likely to witness some of the hard-fights of the game for the spectators.

However, it has its own share of disappointments as well due to the absence of former world number 1 Tiger Woods from the championship. It will be a great miss for the ardent Golf lovers. This season is actually beginning quite ahead of schedule due to the Olympics matches at Rio De-Jeniro.

The new schedule has made the championship more of a travel package, say the players who haven’t got any time for their practice. They say the tournament has been sandwiched between the Phil and Henrik match at the British Open and barely two weeks ahead of the Olympics spectacle.

But, no one denies the fat that the green lawns of the Baltusrol offer the most eventful display of golf in coming days.

The current defending champion Jason Day said on Wednesday soon after coming to the venue. “I haven’t played a practice round, I haven’t seen the course, I don’t know what it looks like,” Day told media on his arrival, adding, “I’m not coming into this week expecting a lot.”

Day and Phil Mickelson and Rory will be entering the fray as the popular broadcaster Ernie Johnson begins his duties for TNT at 1 p.m. ET.

But, viewers can watch the trio at 8:30 a.m. tee time in the official website of the match PGA.com and through their smartphones via the official PGA app.
