Arijit Singh Replaced by Pakistani Singer Atif Aslam in 'A Flying Jatt'
After being rejected by Salman Khan for singing in Sultan, Arijit Singh loses his second deal to Atif Aslam for the movie 'A Flying Jatt'.
Arijit Singh, who has become the heartthrob of Indians all over the world, has been going through a rough patch in his career lately. He has received many praises for the songs that he has produced and sung. Unfortunately, his actions at his first award function, the Star Guild Award, got him in the bad books of Salman Khan due to which he was dropped from singing the song “Jag Ghoomeya” in Sultan. He had made a public apology on twitter, but all in vain.
The jag Ghoomeya song track was later given to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for singing.
Yet again, a deal that was initially Arijit’s to claim has been given to another Pakistani singer, Atif Aslam. Atif was also one of the nominees on the list of ‘Best Male Singer’ at Star Guild Awards, which Arijit Singh had bagged for the Ashiqui 2 song “Tum Hi Ho”. Fortunately for him, there are no disputes between him and the musicians Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, who have been chosen to work for Tiger Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez’s upcoming movie A Flying Jatt. The reason that has been given for Arijit Singh’s replacement with Atif Aslam is that Atif’s voice suited the song better. The Pakistani singer is going to be paid Rs 35 Lakh for singing this particular song.
The two musicians working on A Flying Jatt, however, dismissed the rumours terming it a “hoax”. They said “He (Arijit) is a distinguished singer and we have done quite a few songs together for other films that shall be released soon”.
If you’re still clueless and are wondering what it was that drove Salman Khan mad, it was Arijit Singh’s response at the awards function to Salman Khan’s question. Salman had asked Arijit if he had just woken up from sleep before he came to receive his award. Arijit was actually asleep and someone had to wake him up when his name was called out. Upon Salman’s inquiry, Arijit told him and Ritesh Deshmukh that he fell asleep because they were boring him.
As for now, we hope that the Tum Hi Ho singer doesn’t lose any more opportunities. The promotional track of the movie A Flying Jatt has been released today and it is safe to say that Atif Aslam has done a good job.
