Mobile internet services restored in Jammu after 16-day ban
Internet service on mobile devices had been suspended on July 10 in entire Jammu region following the unrest in Kashmir Valley
After 16 days of ban following the protest and violence in Jammu region, mobile internet services were restored on Monday midnight, officials said.
"The divisional administration reviewed the suspension of mobile Internet services in Jammu region yesterday and it was decided to restore the same from midnight," a senior police officer said in Jammu.
The internet service on mobile devices had been suspended on July 10 in entire Jammu region following the unrest in Kashmir Valley.
Both call facility and mobile internet services, however, continued to remain suspended in the Valley.
Limited calling facility is, however, available on postpaid mobile phones provided by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in the Valley, while no mobile internet facility is available on these phones.
Internet services are working in the Valley on fixed landline connections provided by the BSNL.
