Bihar court orders FIR against Amit Shah, Daya Shankar Singh
The Chief Judicial Magistrate in Hajipur has ordered the police to lodge FIR in connection with Singh's derogatory remarks about BSP leader Mayawati
A Bihar court on Friday ordered the police to file an FIR against BJP president Amit Shah and former party leader Daya Shankar Singh, who had made controversial remarks against Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati.
In response to a petition filed by an RJD leader, the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Hajipur ordered the police to lodge a case against Shah and Singh.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Balinder Das had filed a petition in the CJM court, seeking an order to file an FIR against Shah and Singh in connection with derogatory remarks made by Singh against Mayawati.
"I approached the court as BJP leaders have hurt millions of Dalits, the backward community and poor by derogatory remarks against BSP chief Mayawati," Das said in his petition.
