At least 19 people have been killed and 20 others injured after a man armed with a knife attacked a facility for disabled people in Tokyo, police said.
A knife-wielding man reportedly went on a rampage at Sagamihara facility for handicapped people. A 26-year-old man was arrested by police after the attack, NHK World reported. The report added that the suspect, with the family name Uematsu, had been arrested after he attacked residents of the Tsukui Yamayuri En (Tsukui Lily Garden) facility in Sagamihara in Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo.
The suspect was arrested after he turned himself in to police. Police confirmed that at least 19 persons were dead and 45 injured.
