Harry Potter and the Cursed Child releases worldwide

JK Rowling has requested the playgoers to #KeepTheSecrets about the novel's plot.

JK Rowling has a way for keeping the Potterheads excited! ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,’ the newest addition to The Harry Potter series has finally hit the bookstores globally on Sunday. It was definitely the most awaited moment for Harry Potter fans.

Rowling’s last novel on the series “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” was published in 2007.

Rowling tweeted-

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a two-part West End stage play written by Jack Thorne based on an original new story by Thorne, JK Rowling and John Tiffany. The previews of the play has been going for almost eight week in the Palace Theatre, London and was scheduled to officially premiere on 30 July 2016.

Although the story is in a script form, the Potterheads are not complaining. The story is set nineteen years after the happenings of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ and now follows Harry Potter, a Ministry of Magic employee with his younger son Albus Severus Potter.

Moreover, JK Rowling has requested the playgoers not to reveal the plot by handing them buttons so that they #KeepTheSecrets.

The author has also conveyed her request in a video message to Harry Potter series fans.

 

In the video, she says,

“You’ve been amazing for years at keeping Harry Potter secrets so you didn’t spoil the books for readers who came after you. So I’m asking you one more time to keep the secrets and let audiences enjoy Cursed Child with all the surprises that we’ve got to the story.’
