Mali extends state of Emergency after Army base attack
The West African country has announced that it will observe three days of mourning over that attack
Mali on Wednesday extended state of Emergency for 10 days following a series of attacks. The attack at a military base in the central city of Nampala on Tuesday killed 17 soldiers and wounded dozens.
The military base was attacked by unidentified militants, resulting in many deaths and injuries.
The West African country has announced that it will observe three days of mourning over the attacks.
Last month, the UN Security Council decided to increase the force level of UN peacekeeping mission in Mali to counter the worsening security situation due to the activities of armed groups in the country.
