Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces on Wednesday evening on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
Mr Modi conveyed his greetings and wished the leader and citizens of UAE, more prosperity and progress.
Thanking the Indian premier for his gesture, Sheikh Mohamed wished all prosperity and overall development in all fields for citizens of India.
Mr. Modi’s historic visit in August gave a new dimension to India-UAE relations. His visit also marked the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in the last 34 years.
UAE is home to more than 2.6 million Indians and remains India’s largest trading partner after China and the United States.
Further, the annual remittances of Indian immigrants from the Arab kingdom are estimated to be around $14 billion.
