Heart-broken Nargis Fakhri leaves India, unlikely to return
Nargis Fakhri, who made her Bollywood debut in 2011 with the film ‘Rockstar’, has reportedly left India.
As reported by celebrity magazine ‘Filmfare’, this 36-year-old actress decided to quit Bollywood and has left the country for good. According to the report, she is unlikely to come back and is planning to permanently settle in the US.
The ‘Rockstar’ girl, who was last seen in ‘Housefull 3’, now wishes to be around her friends and family in the US. There were rumors that she was emotionally disturbed after her split with her actor boyfriend Uday Chopra.
Insiders from B-Town say that she was all set to announce her wedding with Uday Chopra, who however changed his mind about getting hitched, and this apparently came to her as a shock.
At one point, Chopra was keen on marrying her and had proposed to her, but that time Nargis had wanted to focus on her career in Hollywood films. Now things have turned the other way around.
Her exit from India has left the production of films such as ‘Azhar’ and Banjo’ in the lurch. She hardly made any appearance during the promotional activities for the movie ‘Azhar’.
“The ‘Azhar’ team was stumped when Nargis told them she was suffering from an injury and couldn’t promote the film. But a friend of the actress says that she has had a nervous breakdown and she had packed her bags and left for her hometown (New York City)! She told her close friends that she was not in the state of mind to work and needed to get out of the country. She also told the producers of ‘Banjo’ that she would adjust the dates and will shoot when she’s back. With 97 per cent of the film complete and just some patchwork left, the producers are scratching their heads about what to do,” a celebrity website quoted a source as saying.
Nargis has also acted in films such as ‘Madras Cafe’, ‘Main Tera Hero’, and ‘Housefull 3’.
