Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’ to hit a record 306 screens in Kerala
Rajinikanth’s Kabali will set a record in Kerala as it will hit 306 screens in the state on Friday.
Trade analyst Trinath said it’s the biggest release for a Tamil film in the state.
“It’s the biggest release for a Tamil film. ‘Kabali’ is releasing on 306 screens in Kerala,” he told IANS.
Several corporate companies in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared holidays on the releasing day so they can attend screenings of the film.
The film will also be dubbed in Telugu, Hindi and Malay.
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is releasing the film of the ‘Thalaivar’ in Kerala.
“On par with Tamil Nadu, there’s unprecedented demand for tickets in Kerala. The opening weekend tickets are sold out,” he said.
Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film also stars Radhika Apte, Kishore, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa, Ritwika and Winston Chao.
Rajinikanth plays a don who fights for Tamils in Malaysia in the film, which is releasing worldwide on Friday.
