Rio Olympics 2016 badminton draws revealed, Saina Nehwal seeded fifth
India's star Badminton player and medal aspirant Saina Nehwal has been seeded fifth in the draw announced for the Rio Olympics 2016
The draws for the Indian badminton contingent in Rio Olympics 2016 has been revealed . India's star shuttler Saina Nehwal and a medal aspirant has been placed in Group G in the women's singles category while compatriot Kidambi Srikanth is placed in Group H in the men's singles at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Saina won the Bronze medal at the London Olympics 2012 and will be hoping to go further this time around .
The current World No.5 Saina has been seeded fifth while her compatriot P.V. Sindhu is seeded ninth in the women's singles. Sindhu has been placed in Group M, the Badminton Association of India (BAI) tweeted .
Srikanth has received a ninth seeding in the men's draw.
India's women's doubles pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are placed in Group A, while men's doubles pair Manu Attri and B. Sumeeth Reddy were placed in Group D.
Malaysia's Lee Chong Wei and Spain's Carolina Marin are the top seeds in men's and women's singles.
