Samsung to launch Galaxy Note 7 smartphone on August 2 at New York
Telecom major Samsung will officially release its new Galaxy Note 7 smartphone on August 2 at New York City, said Samsung in its official website on Wednesday. The Galaxy Note 7 smartphone is likely to have some of the special features of its earlier version, Galaxy S7 Edge, added Samsung.
The Galaxy Note 7 will have dual curved display, making it the first of its kinds of Note phones having this unique feature, said media, quoting technology sources. News on Samsung launching its new model has been going on for a while, but this was the first time the telecom major has officially confirmed the news of the launch. The new model’s other features include, ‘added functionality of the S Pen and large screen,’ added Samsung in their official statement.
“Galaxy Note7 will be a powerful tool for self-expression and achievement and it is aimed at those who want to get the best out of their phones. Galaxy Note7 will change the way people work in offices and in their homes,” said the company about their new product. The Galaxy Note7 is likely to complement Samsung’s existing models, (GalaxyS7 and S7 edge) and will help to integrate wholly into the famous telecom major’s diverse product portfolio, added sources.
The new model will also help to avoid confusion about the latest mobile technology from Samsung, and help to give full alignment with Galaxy S smartphone,” said Samsung officials. To mark the first-ever launch of the unique Galaxy Note7 model, the company has decided to hold a huge promotional event, named as Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event at 11:00 a.m, at New York on August 2, 2016, said officials.
Similar product launching events will be organized in Rio de Janeiro and London on the same day, added officials.
